Why has my mystery shop been rejected?
We know that our Mystery Shoppers work hard. Completing a shop and getting the report to us is work. However, unfortunately, there are some reasons that we cannot accept a shop and are forced to reject it. See below for tips on how to avoid having your shop rejected. |
See below for tips on how to avoid having your shop rejected.
Reason for Rejection and How to Avoid:
Not Verifying Store Hours / Status
Always check the store in Google Maps to verify that it’s in business and that it will be open. If a store is closed, “start” the shop in the app, check in, take a screenshot of google maps showing it’s closed instead of a store front selfie, and then a blue link will appear for you to report the store closed.
Poor Quality Storefront Selfie
The Storefront Selfie needs to clearly show your face, AND the store signage. For more information about Selfie Requirements click HERE
Checking in too far away
If you check in more than one mile away from the store, your shop will be rejected. Make sure to check in right at the store front. For help calibrating your GPS with Google Maps click HERE
Duplicate Images
Make sure you are taking unique photos for each shop you do. Re-using photos will result in automatic rejection of your shops.
Duplicate Verbatims
Give unique answers for each Mystery Shop that you do.
Inaccurate Persona Check
When you select the wrong persona when asked, it tells us that you used the wrong persona when doing the shop. These personas are used to understand how RSAs guide specific types of customers and using the wrong persona means we can’t use the shop.
Contradictory Responses
Pay close attention to the survey questions and make sure that your answers don’t contradict each other. Example- saying an RSA recommended an iPhone 14 but that the operating system was Android.
For questions regarding your rejected shop please "Message Manager" in the Shiftsmart App. A team member will get back to you as quickly as possible!
